Insurance and Health
It is the requirement of Rose-Hulman that all exchange students will automatically be enrolled in an insurance plan provided by Rose-Hulman. This plan meets the U.S. government’s insurance requirements for the J-1 exchange program. Enrollment in the Rose-Hulman provided plan is mandatory. Students will be charged the applicable fee on their Rose-Hulman student invoice. To learn more about the coverage, as well as fees/costs, please visit the insurance carrier’s website at www.studentplanscenter.com
Immunization Records and Health Services
Prior to arrival, you will need to submit your immunization records to the staff in Health Services. Exchange students are required to provide medical records showing current immunizations for tetanus, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), and poliovirus. Students from abroad are also required to have a TB skin test performed by Health Services upon their arrival to Rose-Hulman’s campus. The fee for this test is $5.
The forms are available to download at the Health Services Forms website. Look under the heading “Exchange Students.” Once you have completed all the forms, please send them to the Health Services Assistant, Ms. Kristin Merritt.
