Berzsenyi, Cooper and Harrison Added to Board of Trustees

AGNES BERZSENYI is the vice president and general manager of global product management for GE Healthcare's services division. In this role, she is responsible for driving investment decisions for the business, optimizing the global portfolio of service offerings, and driving regional growth. Berzsenyi started her career with GE in 1995 as part of the technical leadership program at GE Aviation, and she continued to take global leadership roles, with increasing responsibilities, across different GE businesses in the Unites States and Europe. In 2010, she led the commercialization of GE's innovative, pocket-size ultrasound device, Vscan, which was featured in Popular Science's "Best of What's New" and recipient of an American Technology Award. Berzsenyi is a member of the GE Healthcare Women's Network and active in the Cherie Blair Foundation's women entrepreneurship mentoring program. She earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Rose-Hulman in 1995, after graduating from Germany's Otto-von-Guericke University. She will receive the Rose-Hulman Alumni Association's Career Achievement Award on May 2.


JANET COOPER serves as an independent director of three public companies, The Toro Company and Lennox International, and Resonant Inc., and one private engineering company, MWH Global. She was senior vice president and treasurer for Denver-based Qwest Communications, and vice president of finance and controller for its predecessor, U.S. West Communications. She also was chief financial officer and senior vice president of administration for McDATA Corporation, vice president of treasury and tax for The Quaker Oats Company, and project engineer for General Motors. Cooper earned bachelor's degrees in mathematics and computer science, and a master's in applied mathematics from the University of Illinois. In addition, she earned a master's of business administration from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business. Cooper's son, David, is a 2014 computer engineering graduate of Rose-Hulman.


JEFF HARRISON is the incoming president and chief executive officer of Citizens Energy Group, a public charitable trust providing utility services to about 800,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the Indianapolis area. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Rose-Hulman in 1989, and shortly thereafter began working for central Indiana utility companies-13 years at Indianapolis Power & Light Co., followed by Citizens Energy Group since 2003. He has been senior vice president of engineering and sustainability since January 2013, and previously was senior vice president of capital programs and engineering, vice president of manufacturing, and director of market development. Besides his Rose-Hulman degree, Harrison has a master's degree in business administration from Indiana University.
