Welcome to the website of the Rose-Hulman Undergraduate Research Experience in Mathematics, set to return in Summer 2020 after a seven year hiatus. The program will be an eight-week research program for undergraduate students interested in studying mathematics, with two projects: the first on spatial graph embeddings, mentored by Kenji Kozai; and the second on data analysis of mobile payments in developing countries, mentored by Wayne Tarrant.
The dates for the upcoming summer are June 1-July 24, 2020, and the REU will be hosted at the Rose-Hulman campus in Terre Haute, IN, one hour away from Indianapolis. We expect to have funding for eight students in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 session of the REU will be held online.
