School Description:
The VAI Graduate School is a unique PhD program in cell, molecular, and genetic biology of human disease. The innovative problem-based curriculum leads students to a strong foundation in core concepts and experimental design by paralleling how scientists approach new research questions. School Description:
With more than 170 faculty members in 16 different engineering/computer science disciplines, our 800 graduate students are gaining cross-disciplinary research experience working with peers from a wide range of disciplines.
A new, 70,000 square footage building is under construction and will have labs, clean rooms, and other facilities available for graduate students to use starting in 2014. In recent years, we have consistently been ranked by the National Science Foundation in the top 75 universities for research expenditures, and more than 85 percent of our students have a graduate assistantship where they receive funding and a waiver of University tuition.
