Tuesday Strong is the Director of Academic Projects at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In this role she supports, coordinates, and executes academic planning, projects, and operations for the Office of Academic Affairs. She possesses 20 years of management experience in academic and corporate environments. Tuesday’s expertise includes project management, financial analysis, marketing, human resources, and external relations. Her interests include strategy and the role of education in professional and economic development.
Tuesday has held various roles of increasing responsibility since joining Rose-Hulman in 2000. Originally working in Facilities Operations, Tuesday was one of the founders of the Institute’s award winning Sustainability Team and supported Rose-Hulman’s signing the American College and University President’s Climate Commitment. In 2008, she participated in the Institute’s outreach initiatives by providing support for the development of continuing education programs for alumni and technical professionals.
In 2009, she began providing project support to the late President Matt Branam. She participated in various projects including serving as a liaison for Rose-Hulman’s “Leading the Next Decade of Innovation Gala” which brought together 700+ alumni, students, faculty, staff, supporters, and business and community leaders. Tuesday also connected some of the world’s greatest thinkers. She secured and hosted, Rose-Hulman alumnus Marshall Goldsmith, recipient of the prestigious Thinkers50 Leadership Award and Dr. Michio Kaku, world-renowned theoretical physicist, Rose-Hulman’s Commencement Speaker, and recipient of the 2011 Excellence in Innovation Award.
In 2010, Tuesday began serving as Rose-Hulman’s community liaison with the City of Shelbyville. She collaborated to develop and launch a partnership with the City of Shelbyville and Shelby County that is quickly becoming a model for educational interaction with economic development units across the state. Prior to joining Rose-Hulman, she was in management at the Columbia House Company where she hired, trained, and managed performance of over 200+ representatives in a customer service call center who serviced accounts generating over $100M in annual sales.
Tuesday holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Development from Indiana State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Strategic Management and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Tuesday is a Certified Professional in Human Resources through the Society for Human Resource Management. Tuesday completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
