This is a research course. The majority of the course work will be concerned with reading, presenting, and discussing the latest research related to LLMs and AGI, as well as Philosophy of Mind and Psychology, as they pertain to accomplishing AGI. As part of the research, students are asked to use AI to quickly get to the forefront of the field, to locate in-depth research papers, to ideate solutions, and the critically examine solution approaches.
There will be two course projects:one to develop a small sandbox LLM that then serves to extend it towards a system that exhibits AGI.
