Conference Information

Registration.

The Registration Desk will be open from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Friday on the first floor of Hadley Hall which is right inside the doors adjacent to the circle at the front entrance of campus. If you are pre-registered, you will be able to check-in and pick up all of your materials for the meeting at this location. At other hours, come to the math department which is on the 2nd floor of Crapo hall.

If you don't have a registration form, you can register by mailing the following information to:

For students who will present a talk, the title and an abstract should be electronically mailed to Aaron Klebanoff at Aaron.Klebanoff@Rose-Hulman.Edu. Please include requests for special equipment needs.

Schedule.

Here's the whole schedule.

Where We'll Be.

The conference will be held on the Rose-Hulman Campus in Terre Haute, Indiana. The location of the Friday evening parties will be included in your registration packet.
Contributed talks will be on the second floor of Crapo Hall, and the invited talks will be in E-104 Moench Hall which is just below the auditorium. We'll eat lunch in the Hulman Memorial Union. Here's a campus map and here's a local map (92 Kb).

Meals

The conference officially opens after lunch on Friday, March 21. Your registration fees (which is free for speakers) will cover the cost of lunch on Friday, refreshments during the meeting, dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday. All meals will be located in the Hulman Memorial Union in the Louise Kahn Room (formerly the west-side of the North Room.)

Lodging

Students can choose to bunk up with Rose-Hulman students free of charge. (Arrangements will be made by the organizers and students choosing this option will be told where they are sleeping during the meeting on Friday.) Otherwise, conference participants should reserve rooms as far in advance as possible. There are several other events in Terre Haute during the March 21-23 weekend. The Drury Inn, the Pear-Tree Inn, and Sycamore Farms are offering discounted rates to those who mention the "Rose-Hulman Math Conference." Many of the motels listed below are in the same location about 7 miles from Rose-Hulman around the intersection of I-70 and US-41 (Exit 7 from I-70). The bed and breakfast is about a mile from Rose-Hulman and offers a real touch of class for those who like bed and breakfasts (they only have four rooms, so book early!)

To get from I-70 & US-41 to Rose-Hulman, head on I-70 East and take exit 11. Head north 3 miles on US-46 (the exit turns 180 degrees from the freeway, and you'll make a right turn at the stop sign) and turn right on US-40 (where US-46 terminates.) Rose-Hulman is on your left, so take the first paved left turn. Here is a campus map. Here's a local map (92 Kb).

Look Who's Talking!
