Students, To see the total hours that you have reported for Robotics and Teamwork through Thursday, May 4, use a web browser to examine file www.rose-hulman.edu/class/csse/csse490/csse490-robotics-and-teamwork/hours/XXX/hours.txt where you replace XXX by your OWN username (all lower case). For example, Virginia E. Wolff would examine the file www.rose-hulman.edu/class/csse/csse490/csse490-robotics-and-teamwork/hours/wolffve/hours.txt The file has three numbers: 1. Total hours that you have reported through Thursday, May 4 2. Number of Daily Reflections that you have completed (of 39 possible) 3. The first number times 5 divided by the second number The 3rd number is how many hours per week you are reporting IF your unreported Daily Reflections follow the same pattern as the onesthat you have filled in so far. The Syllabus said, from the beginning: -- About 12 hours per week is an A -- About 8 hours per week is a B Steve and I are hereby modifying that to: -- About 10 hours per week is an A -- About 7 hours per week is a B -- About 5 hours per week is a C Strive to put lots of effort into the class these last two weeks. I still need LOTS of volunteers for the Botball tournament! Thanks! ... david m. P.S. The approach that I used may be insecure against an attack that uses a php script to read other people's pin.txt files. If anyone wants to try such an attack, please do so (and let me know the results); I will supply you with any information you need for that attack, since I want to know whether or not the approach that I used is secure or not.
