Looks like our bot idea won't require high level AI but we will be more defensive and have a more basic strategy and bot, hopefully this will allow us to finish and be competitive." He never came back and was in fact sitting online, so we basically know for a fact that he blew us off. I also sent out a group email." "On Wednesday I usually don’t have class. I rode the bus out to rose solely for meeting with Johnathon to work on our research report. Johnathon and I were able to get a lot done with our group project. We first brainstormed about what concepts we would like to talk about during our presentation. After we cam up with around five topics we opened up our laptops and did a small amount of group research. After we found a few helpful articles we decided to brainstorm again. This seemed to work out really well. As we brainstormed, I wrote down everything we talked about. We then tried to organize it so that it was more understandable. Since this worked so well, we decided that we would continue using this approach the next time we meet." "My partner and I decided exactly where we were going to take the project. We started researching and coming up with practical applications of Autonomous public transportation. We spent most of the time just coming up with the necessary technical devices needed. We used some really obvious ones, but we also improved on each others ideas. For example, we realized there would need to be wireless communication, and the first idea was to set up towers, which was later adapted to placing several small terminals that are hardwired to a central location." Basically, the pumps are strong enough to lift the cage up, but it will snap the technic bar that is trying to keep the entire cage on the lifting mechanism. It's too much pressure over such a small space. It really isn't going to work. I messed around with other ideas with pneumatics but it all boiled down to one thing. Pneumatics are not going to work. I'm going to talk with my teammates about this and see what ideas they have for the ball cage." " "We ran into a few design problems, but we think we've worked a bunch fo them out. One of the problems that we were running into was that we were having trouble testing the bot, particularly since the motors we were using must be attached to legos with glue or some other means. Hopefully we will have the bot finished in time as we simplified the desgin as mucha s we could."
