I accepted that they probably were not on there and decided to go to the CS lab sometime to find out. - The e-mail I sent out was successful (I sent a copy to myself to make sure it sent). The search for the botball team assignments was not successful because I did not find them. - Aside from the e-mail and the team activity in class we did not do any work together today. - The jig-saw technique is interesting because it seems to be a very inefficient way of learning material. However, it may make up for that deficit in forcing us to learn more about our teammates. - I'll remember the jig-saw if I find myself in a situation where I am leading a team in the workforce."

I learned about the cross-bracing - it's relatively simple, and a good way to make a set of blocks structurally sound. The jigsaw-puzzle method of learning concepts was pretty simple and didn't involve too much time - as long as there are enough experts to go around, I think it works well."

"Today it was interesting to see the different team building exercises.  The problem/solution team building exercise appears that it would be very difficult to do in groups that are not very big.  For this reason, I believe it is impractical for us to use it with the Botball teams, however, it was very interesting for our class. I also learned about the camera, which may have many useful applications.  If there is a task of finding botguy, then it will be almost necessary.  For beyond botball I believe it will be necessary, due to the nature of the task set before us.  Although I now understand applications of the camera, I have still not used one in practice, but that should come on Thursday."

The download and installation of the software was easy enough, seeing that it was free of charge and actually contained with it an instruction manual that easy to understand. Next, all I did was fiddle around with the program to see what I can do now with no proper equipment hooked up to the machine, and briefly skimmed a few documents that outlined what IC was and all the "new" commands and jargon there was for it.  After messing around with IC, I remembered to upload my piece of the team building exercises."

"I really should either find my "The C Programming Language" or go out and buy a new one.  That book is going to be an invaluable reference for this project, both for our team, and for the teams we're coaching should they decide to work in C.  I'm begining to wonder what the rest of the team is doing.  I know this is the first week and that things are always relatively slow at the start of a class, but it doesn't make me any less uneasy.  We've got a lot to do and not a whole lot of time to do it in.  I should probably figure out some way for me to organize with the rest of the group (since I'm the only one not living on campus).  That would probably help fix the situation and make me less uneasy."
