"- We originally didn't know any of the IC commands, but we went to a website that had documentation on the commands that worked with different sensors. - We got the motors to turn on and off depending on input from various sensors, so we were successful in that regard. - Basically one person was coding, one person was plugging sensors and motors into the controller, and one person was using the controller, everyone else watched and corrected little errors. - We did get some stuff working, and that's interesting because now we have some concrete stuff to show the teachers on Friday. - I actually think it would have been better to split our team into two groups of three and work seperately. That way everyone would have gotten to do some hands-on activities."

We wanted to try out the cameras but weren’t able to locate any in the class room.  I know I feel a lot more confident about showing our school groups how to use the equipment than I had before we got together.  During our group meeting, we also started discussing beyond botball.  We went to www.botball.com so that we could get a better idea on how the beyond botball objectives differ from the school botball rules.  I’m pretty sure that everyone in our team now has a good idea of what our goals are. "

We worked on programming a servo, but the servo member was not there.  We also wanted to try to work with a camera, but we were unable to obtain one. Our team interactions were greatly hurt by the lack of attendence of two of the members.  I sent out an email to begin brainstorming ideas for the long-term technical building activity.  I recieved no responses. The team was very happy to successfully have a servo move to the desired position."

After discussing things in class, we all split up to research good team building exercises that can be easily done with various amounts of people. I came up with several ideas. Ranging from variations on the "Human Knot", "Crossing Styx" to "Blind Man's Chess", ideas were to be had."
