"- I did not run into any problems this day. - I was sucessful in keeping on top of e-mail and sharing ideas with others. - I did not work with my teammates this day. - I learned that school websites do not contain very much useful information. This is interesting because I apparently have a 'useless filter' that everything I read runs through before I assign a memory allocation to it. (which is why I've already forgotten what was on the websites) - The main take away lesson I see is the existance of this 'useless filter.' Now that I know I have one, I should be able to conciously adjust the settings on it."

One we establish email contact we will work out the details of having them try out our team building exercise. Feedback should be received from them by next week!  One of the things I'm noticing is that, especially for a class as loosely structured as this one is, it is imperative that we all keep motivated. One lesson that I might take away from what I've seen so far is that I may need to take up some work and show my teammates that things can get done, and that we can have fun too!"

We decided how we were going to contact our highschoolers and by whom. "	"A couple of our teams had not responded to our calls at all. Also, one of our members did not come to this meeting, and he was suuposed to call a school himself. Luckily, time contrainsts were not much of an issue yet, so we we're alright and just decided we would call more later. Our meetings tend to be a little unorganized with somewhat a round robin format. We all throw in ideas until we come to as much agreement as we can, and go from there. Our members understnad that their ideas may not be accepted, and are not hurt because they know that decisions are rather trivial at this point anyway. "

I received an email from Lincoln Middle School notifying me that my email address would not be blocked any more.  I also sent emails to Lindsay Espenschied from Lincoln Middle School and Wanda Brinkerhoff from Decatur Middle School to begin to set up a communication channel.  I later called both schools to try and reach the teachers."	"I felt that it was a pretty productive day for robotics today.  I finally got my emails to go through to both of the schools today.  Although I wasn’t able to reach either of the teachers on the phone, I did leave a message in both Lindsay’s voice mailbox and Wanda’s voice mailbox. This was probably something good to do because we needed to make sure everyone was on the same page with what we each had to do.  I had some problems contacting the international school. My cell phone doesnt get good reception at rose so after I tried that a few times and didn't get through very well I tried using the land line from my room, but found out that we cant call long distance with those. Eventually I asked Steve Chenoweth to use his phone and got though to the school, but the botball advisor want there at the time so I had to leave a message."

"We met in the classroom even though there were was not a class today. We passed around imformation that we knew about our teams and devided up the work of contacting them. Then we split up to do our appropriate tasks.  I tried to email the International team with little luck. I am hoping that they get back to me. Also, being on a campus in which long distance numbers are an impossiblity, I was restricted to just trying to email these groups. Only time will tell now."
