"The biggest problem that I encountered on Monday was the fact that Lincoln Middle School could not accept any emails from my Rose-Hulman email account.  I received an email back from the school district that stated my email had been blocked.  I sent a second email out to the administrator hoping that I could unblock my email address.  When we were in class our group also found out that we have a new school.  We were now assigned Decatur Middle School.  Since we didn’t get a chance to meet with the teacher over the weekend it will be much harder for us to build a relationship with her.  I will have a better idea how things are going to go with this new school by tomorrow. "

It was much to our dismay that we needed to be further along than where we were, but I guess we get to buckle down and focus on a few things. While I think I did a very good job of contacting my groups and spreading information around, I neglected to actually collect contact information FROM them. So our team has no direct way of contacting them. So, what we are going to do is call up the school and see if they know who for us to contact. We left class with the promise of meeting on Tuesday to figure this all out.  The rest of the time was spent working with IC and trying to figure out how to dynamicly figure out how to manipulate several arms and wheels at the same time while keeping a global counter going so the robot can shut down ant the appropriate time. "

Because I had prepared my ideas before the class I was more able to participate in the exercises and to help our team communicate about their experiences more because I knew what I had done and could ask leading questions.  Speaking of leading questions, they're an important tool.  You know how they say you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.  Well its true.  People have to want to do something in the first place for you to really convince them to do it at all."
