The course does not officially start until Monday, but some of you may wish to get a head start, particularly if Discrete Math 2 was a struggle for you.

I hope you will enjoy the course and learn a lot.  

The material in this course is probably very different than anything you have seen before (unless you are a senior math major).  
Pay a lot of attention to the mathematical notation, and ask questions whenever you do not understand things.  
This course is VERY cumulative; taking time to master concepts and details from the early part of the course may result in big payoffs later.
