Currently: -Client manages content of all news section -Client manages content for some other departments -Client helps manage content for departments that manage own web sites -Manages content of web site with MS Frontpage -Articles stored in one directory Wants: -A system that helps automate updates -Interface something like word if possible -Automatically remove old news articles and archive them -Sort files of old content (text and images) -Less flash then currently, more HTML -Track broken links -Statistics for hits (by browser and what) -When publishing a new article set expiration date -When publishing a new article either automatically put up on related departments news page or send info email to appropriate department (encourage email reminder) -Central clearinghouse of articles for validation purposes -Possibly break up web site by constituent (student, prospective student, alumni, parent, ect.)
