This week we scheduled a client meeting with Nancy. While we have talked about the backend of the system a lot, we had not actually witnessed how the admissions staff interacted with the submitted information, so our goal was to gain a better understanding of this process. Nancy took us back to her computer and showed us the emails she receives now, pointed out some of the downfalls of the current system, and mentioned areas where time and paper could be saved. After the meeting we met and discussed some possible solutions to present next week. Also, we met and discussed use cases from each angle of our project – potential student, catapult applicant, campus day attendee, and admissions employee.
