Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:
- Explain the importance and relevance of globalization, in
particular as it relates to CSSE.
- Effectively communicate with teams from other countries and
cultures.
- Effectively work with teams from other countries and cultures
to complete a project.
Description of Assessment Tools
- Paper: Researching an aspect of globalization and writing it up.
- Presentation: Researching an aspect of globalization and giving an
oral presentation.
- Artifacts of communication: An artifact of communication is a record
of an electronic communication about a problem beginning from the
statement of the problem until its successful resolution. The problem
will typically be of a technical nature but does not have to be.
- Requirements document: A document stating the major requirements for
the class project.
- Final report: A written report appropriate for the project
undertaken. The report will include a discussion of the problem
researched and the proposed solution.
