Learning Outcomes

1. Explain the importance and relevance of globalization, in particular as it relates to CSSE.
2. Effectively communicate with teams from other countries and cultures.
3. Effectively work with teams from other countries and cultures to complete a project.

Description of Assessment Tools

• Paper: Researching an aspect of globalization and writing it up.
• Presentation: Researching an aspect of globalization and giving an oral presentation.
• Artifacts of communication: An artifact of communication is a record of an electronic communication about a problem beginning from the statement of the problem until its successful resolution. The problem will typically be of a technical nature but does not have to be.
• Requirements document: A document stating the major requirements for the class project.
• Final report: A written report appropriate for the project undertaken. The report will include a discussion of the problem researched and the proposed solution.
