You are welcome to follow any of the excellent Rules and Practices of Extreme Programming, but you must follow (at least) the following Extreme Programming Practices (taken from the above link):

• Planning:

  • A stand-up meeting starts each day.

• Designing:

  • No functionality is added early.

• Coding:

  • Code must be written to agreed standards.
  • Integrate often.
  • Leave optimization till last.

• Testing:
  • Acceptance tests are run often and the score is published.
