CSSE 120 — Introduction to Software Development, Robotics

Reminder: for each class session and associated homework:

• Where you do your work:
  • In Eclipse in the project that you checked out for that session.
  • Paper and pencil quizzes that you receive in class (but can also access from the homework assignment).
• If you have questions: Email csse120-staff@rose-hulman.edu.
• Best place and time to do the homework:

  CSSE lab (Moench Hall, room D-219)
  7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  Sunday — Thursday.

1. Do the reading and the associated reading quizzes handed out in class (see the quizzes for details of the reading assignments):
   • Course Syllabus
   • At www.rose-hulman.edu/class/csse/csse120/201220robotics
   • Chapters 1 and 2
   • From Chapter 1: Sections 1.4 through 1.7, plus 1.9 (skim the other sections if you wish)
   • From Chapter 2: Sections 2.1 through 2.4
   • This annotated Input-Compute-Output program will be helpful for the quiz on Chapters 1 and 2.

   Note: If you lost your quiz, you can reprint it by following the links above.

2. In Eclipse, do some commands in a PyDev Console, as we did in class. At the least, complete the work from the handout The PyDev Console, by Pictures. Bring questions to class. (Nothing to turn in for this problem.)
3. Do the TODO's in the m2_YOUR_convert_and_chaos.py module of today's project, if you did not complete them in class.
   • Today's project was: Session01_IntroductionToPython
   • If your Eclipse environment is not correct, come to the D-219 lab during the above hours to get it fixed.
