4. Your First Program
   • From your textbook: Section 1.5 (3 pages) and Section 1.6 (2 pages).
     • You will DO everything from these sections in class during Session 1.
     • We think that many of you will find it helpful to READ about it first (hence this reading).
     • But don't get freaked out if the reading is a bit mysterious to you; again, you will DO (and understand) everything from these sections during your Session 1.
5. Optional: Background Information from your textbook: Sections 1.1 to 1.4.
   • These sections present background information that many of you will find interesting.
   • However, there is nothing in these sections required for success in this course.
