How to Apply for Operation Catapult

Here's what you need to do to apply for the best summer experience you'll ever have!

Steps to Apply

Applying is easy! Just follow these steps:

Fill out the online application. Space is limited, so be sure to indicate which session you want to attend. There is no cost to apply for Operation Catapult.
Application Criteria: Remember, you must be a high school junior going into your senior year (graduation in 2019). A year of chemistry or physics is required to be considered for admission to Operation Catapult. Admission is selective. We look to admit students that have been successful in high school and will be successful at Operation Catapult.

A recommendation from your counselor or teacher is required. Their phone number and email address will be used for verification. If you are homeschooled, we require a recommendation from a professor, employer, activity organizer, or someone else outside the home. The recommendation may be typed on school letterhead or you may use our form. The recommendation form is on the left and it may be scanned and emailed to the Office of Admissions, but must come from the high school counselor's or teacher's email address.

Request your official high school transcript be sent to the Office of Admissions to complete your application. Your first semester grades of your junior year must be included on the transcript. If your high school is a member of Parchment (formerly Docufide) or Naviance Electronic Transcripts, you may have your materials sent through their service or you may have your high school scan and email the transcript. Please have all documents sent to:

  • After completing the online recommendation form, please mail/fax/email us a copy of the applicant’s high school transcript (which should include the first semester grades of the junior year).
