I also spent an hour watching a special on PBS's website related to our topic. " "Ken and I used a, sort of, Extreme Paper Writing technique to write our paper. It worked rather well. First we outlined the sections of the paper that we wanted to write about. Then as we wrote each section we worked together. It seemed very efficient. Because my team's robot this year did not involve much software, at least not until the last minute, very little extreme programming was able to happen. Had it happened, based on what I saw while writing the paper, I believe it would have worked very well. It also helped to use the technique while building the robot, but not quite as efficiently. As far as Extreme Programming, I dont think the team got a big enough chance to try it out. It seemed like our team, and most others, was spending all of the time building the robot. As a suggestion for future classes, I thought it would be interesting if Dr Mutchler or Dr Chenoweth building IDENTICAL robots for each team. The robots would need to be very robust and have several motors and servos for advanced functionality. Then the teams could do A LOT of extreme programming to try and make the robot the most efficient or best at completing the task. Then the projects would be a little more software oriented. Just an idea I had." "7A6F2340AB9940DCB68B4875D8EDE4FC" "Poehler, Lance" "poehlelm" "5/18/2006 1:19:11 PM" "1 hour" "On Wednesday I reviewed my presentation."
