Anvil

I bought an anvil and am in the process of straightening it up. It is a Peter Wright anvil from the early 1900's. It's body is made from wrought iron and the top is a one piece steel plate. It is in very good overall shape. I am cleaning up some of the scuff marks and am straighening the top. It weighs 1.3.11 hundredweights, which translates to 207 pounds.

On the right side, you see my shop. The anvil stays at its location behind the post. The gas forge is moved to the driveway in the summertime and the second garage stall in the wintertime. Just to be on the safe side, I leave one of the garage doors cracked open by several inches.
