Engineering Forensics Research Institute

The Engineering Forensics Research Institute (EFRI) is committed to research, education, and service in the study of engineering failures and forensics by undergraduate engineering, math, and science students.  We meet our commitment through the following initiatives:

• Teaming of student/faculty partnerships with outside clients to understand and reduce failures of engineered systems
• Utilization of forensic service projects, case studies, and investigation methodologies to enhance undergraduate education
• Development of courses to help students learn fundamental failure analysis and forensic engineering skills.
