My Artwork

I drew this hot rod for a t-shirt.  Unfortunately, it looks much better on paper, as the blacks are very consistent, and the whites are whiter.  This shirt will be hot pink, and the back will say:

I didn't do the text here, but I did the flames.

These are some rough sketches I did of a friend's dad's pro-street late-model Chevy pickup truck...bad quality, sorry...I did that with my camera, and not a scanner, as they were just reference shots.

Despite the poor quality of the images, you can see the detail I put into it (at least the last 2)...reflections on the side of the body, and the chrome reflections on the engine components.

so, I drew this about a year ago.  yes, i know the front end resembles the new audi/vw fascia.  I didn't steal it, I just happened upon it as their designers did.

this is another version of the above sedan/coupe, except in performance trim here.

this is a sketch I did in class last year (spring 2004) of a performance coupe.

this is a nicer picture I did (yes, nicer...you just cant tell by the scan).  I used  my nice pencil set and vellum paper...which is why you can see any imperfections in the color.  if you blur your eyes a little bit, to make up for the pixelization, it looks nicer.

this is an italian-style inspired excercise...I named it the bruiser, for the agressive-italian-nose-forward stance.  unfortunately, the resizing also makes it hard to see some detail, esp. the sketches at the bottom that weren't penned.

this is another version of the aforementioned audi-like styled car, but toned down a bit.  i also did a little rough interior sketch, keeping with the circle and 2 bar theme.

these are just some random sketches I did in california the summer of 2004 with  a cheap marker set...i think i had like...10 colors to work with or something...hence the lack of color difference and gradients

okay.  this car is ugly as sin.  I know it.  I know you are thinking it.  I only put it on here because I like some of the reflection work on it, and it is a good example of some of my early work (2002-2003 ish).  it also has the hood ornament I will use if i ever own my own car company/tuning shop.

this is my first design that was completely my own.  its rough, yes, but i like the shading/reflection, and it was good for the time (2002ish).  once again, early work, but not bad.

this is a rough sketch i was doing...well, it started out nice, then I used a cheap eraser, and it smeared the ink, so i messed around with some colored pencil on the cars just to get a feel.  I also did a little interior work on the car, but that changes later.

This is based on a 33 ford speedstar, which is the hot rod i plan to build one day.

this is an old (2002) top view of a modified speedstar with flames. I hadn't really flamed much then, so these were pretty good.

this is the interior of the speedstar...nice and clean...stereo hidden, and very few switches to clutter it up.

this is a revised (unfinished) ink drawing of the speedstar, roughing out more stuff, and doing a better job on the interior.  yes i know the scanner took it crooked...but what are you going to do?

and that concludes this installment of my art...the newest thing is the top hot rod drawing...from the spring of 2005. after that...its summer of 2004 stuff.  hopefully I will give you more sketches from this year soon!
