Shonk Award winners
Shonk Award Winners: Caleb He of Carmel High School amd Anthony Ji or Carmel High school earned honors for having the top scores in the freshman division of this year's Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Competition. The book An Episodic History of Mathematics, came from a fund established to honor former Vigo County teacher Sally Shonk. The Heart of Mathematics was donated by Wiley Publishers. Caleb He and Anthony Ji had perfect scores. Presenting the awards were Allen Broughton (right), chair of Rose-Hulman's Department of Mathematics, and Rose-Hulman Mathematics Professor Eric Reyes(left). Shonk awawrd winner Gayatri Balasubramanian of Carmel is not pictured.

Rhein award winners
Top Sophomores: Daniel Vance of Fishers High School and Amanda Li of Park Tudor High School received book prizes as the top male and female sophomore place finishers in this year's Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Competition. Each recieved Prime Numbers and Discrete Mathematics, in memory of former Cincinnati contest organizer Mary Rhein. The books were donated by Wiley Publishing. Daniel Vance has a perfect score. Making the award presentation were Allen Broughton (right), chair of Rose-Hulman's Department of Mathematics, and Mathematics Professor Joseph Eichholz (left).

Top Juniors: Kevin Fei of Carmel High School took first place honors in the junior class division of this year's Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Competition. Presenting the award were Allen Broughton(right), head of Rose-Hulman's Department of Mathematics, and Professor of Mathematics Will Green(left).
First place Senior individual
and David Liang of Carmel High School and Yushi Homma of Carmel High School had a perfect 100-point score to win the senior class division of this year's Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Competition. This was David Liang's thiord consecutive perfect score. Congratulating the senior winners were were Allen Broughton(left), head of Rose-Hulman's mathematics department, and Professor of Mathemtics John McSweeney(left).

Freshman Class Winners: Carmel High School freshmen combined to earn top team honors at this year's Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Mathematics Competition. Congratulating the students was Allen Broughton, head of Rose-Hulman's mathematics department.
