A student may elect to take an Area Minor in History by concentrating 5 HSS courses in that area. Successful completion of the Area Minor is indicated on the student's grade transcript. A student interested in pursuing an Area Minor in History should consult with Dr. Pickett, the History Area Minor Advisor, for aid in planning a course schedule.The Area Minor in History has the following requirements:
- Five courses in History, with at least three courses at the 300-400 level.
- One HSS course in an area other than History in addition to the courses needed to satisfy regular HSS requirements. This means that a minimum of 40 credits in HSS courses must be earned.
- Substitutions may be made with the approval of the Area Minor Advisor.
