The large box contains a speaker. The speaker is driven by a signal generator (not shown).
The cylindrical tube contains a 'stack' of carefully spaced film. The film spacing must be
one or two thermal conduction lengths so that the acoustic 'bucket brigaded' can move
heat from one side to the other. The picture below is a closeup of the stack.
