MA336 is an introduction to mathematical methods for solving partial differential equations. Both analytical and numerical techniques will be discussed with an emphasis on the former. There will be three exams during the quarter (20% each). Homework will be collected every Friday (40%). Late homeworks will be heavily penalized, and all homeworks must be completed to receive a passing grade. Absences beyond 6 or failure to be prepared to work in class may affect your grade.
