CIF (Caltech Interchange Format)
CIF is a file that contains all of the design information necessary to
fabricate the masks for an integrated circuit. You can download this file
and submit the file to the MOSIS on a
AMI 0.6um 3 metal 2 poly run and, barring any downloading errors, the resulting
chips should demonstrate the effects I have described in the lab. The file
contains all circuits and the padframe. The cif has been submitted to MOSIS
and the resulting chips have been tested. However, to be certain that the
file has not been corrupted, you may want to open the file in the layout
editor of your choice. You may also want to borrow circuits from this file.
You can open the file in the layout editor of you choice and pull circuit
layout from this file. This cif has been created using Cadence. If you pull
the cif directly into Mentor Graphics, your circuits may not be scaled appropriately.
I believe the cif should be able to be pulled into Magic and Tanner Tools
without any additional scaling, however I have not tested this. I am not familiar
with other design packages.
Download cif for the Substrate Noise Lab.
