This mailing list will only be used to:

Obtain supplements to the text Schematic Capture with Cadence PSpice.

MicroSim Version 7.1

To install the updated libraries for version 7.1:

  1. Click here to download file ver71lib.exe (848 kB)
  2. When the download is complete, run program ver71lib.exe to extract the installation files.
  3. Run the setup.exe program to install the libraries. During installation, choose the same drive and directory for the libraries as you chose for installing the PSpice software.

MicroSim Version 8.0

Version 8.0 works only with Windows 95/98/NT. It will not run under Windows 3.x. To upgrade your version of PSpice that accompanies the text "Schematic Capture With PSpice," follow the instructions below:

  1. Click here to download version 8.0 of Schematics from MicroSim.
  2. Follow MicroSim's instructions for installing the software. You can install it on any drive and in any directory.
  3. Click here to download version 8.0 of the libraries. (933 kB)
  4. Run program ver80lib.exe to extract the installation files.
  5. Run the setup.exe program to install the libraries. Choose the same drive and directory as you chose when installing the PSpice software.

Supplements to Schematic Capture With Orcad PSpice

Text supplements are new material that will be added to future editions of Schematic Capture with Cadence PSpice. These supplements can be viewed and printed with the Adobe Acrobat Reader version 4 or higher. These supplements are included in the second edition of Schematic Capture with CADENCE PSpice.

Download the Digikey starter database for use with Capture CIS (5604 KB). This database contains over 72,000 parts available from Digikey.

To install: (1) Run file Orcad_Database.exe to extract the setup files. (2) Run Setup .exe to install the files.

Download Chapter 10 below.

Download Chapter 11 - "Creating and Using Net Lists." Note that this is a work in progress and will be updated periodically. (490 KB)
