Must include the following two sections:
Purpose
General Procedure and Experimental Setup

Purpose:

This is a brief statement of the intended purpose of the projected.  One or two sentences should be sufficient.  For example:

The purpose of this project is to determine the effect of trailing edge flap deflection angle on the lift of a wing. Data will be used to draw general conclusions about the effect that flap deflection has on aircraft performance characteristics.

General Procedure and Experimental Setup:

In this section write a brief description of how the proposed test will be carried out. The major pieces of equipment and the data to be taken should be identified. The method by which the data will be analyzed to accomplish the stated purpose of the project should also be outlined.  For example:

A wing section fitted with a simple trailing-edge flap will be mounted in the Aerolab wind tunnel. The three-component strain gage balance, integral to the tunnel, will be used to measure lift and drag forces. Measurements of those forces will be taken at several angles of attack up to stall and at least 0o, 20o, and 30o flap deflection angles. Tunnel velocity and atmospheric pressure and temperature will be measured as well.

Measured forces will be presented in coefficient form. The lift force, L, for example will be expressed as
CL = L/q/S

where q is tunnel dynamic pressure and S is the wing area. Plots of lift coefficient vs. angle of attack and lift vs. drag coefficient will be constructed for each flap angle. The maximum value of CL/CD will be computed for each. This last value is a measure of the aerodynamic efficiency of the wing-flap combination.
