Formal Project

The formal project is worth 45% of your grade in this course and consists of the following elements:

Your intended audience for the report and oral presentation should be a fellow Junior ME not taking this class. In other words, assume that the reader has the same working knowledge of mechanical engineering as you, but knows nothing of the project about which you are writing. By keeping this in mind, you should be able to discern what level of detail is necessary.

The final report is submitted for evaluation at the time of the oral presentation. In most cases, the instructor assigned to grade the report will read and comment on the report, then return it to the group for rewriting. The final version of the report will be resubmitted to the instructor no later than Wednesday of 10th week.
