CATHOLIC CAMPUS MINISTRY Scripture: "I am the good shepherd, who is willing to die for the sheep."  John 10: 11 Catholic Factoid: Pope Benedict XVI, the 264 successor of St. Peter, was formally installed Sunday, April 24, 2005.  He actually became Pope when he accepted being elected  and changed his name from Joseph Ratzinger to Benedict.  In the installation he is given the pallium, a woven piece of cloth made of wool.  The pallium is the sign that his office is about following the Good Shepherd.   In his homily Pope Benedict XVI stated that he desired to listen to the whole church and the whole world in order to discern the will of God.  Let us pray for the guidance of the Spirit for him, the whole church, and the whole world.
