TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Brescia University stopped
the Rose-Hulman women's tennis season opening winning
streak at four matches with a 6-3 victory over the Engineers on
Wednesday.
Sophomore Ellyn Norris (Penn Laird, Va.)
led the Engineers with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles and
an 8-6 doubles win with sophomore Klara Schroederus
(Glenview, Ill./ Glenbrook South) at the No. 3 spot.
The doubles tandem of freshman Sage Sackett
(Kalamazoo, Mich./ Mattawan) and junior Megan Chann
(Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) also contributed a No. 2 doubles
win by an 8-4 count.
Rose-Hulman stands 4-1 on the season and will
host NCAA Division I opponent Valparaiso University on Friday at
6 p.m.
