HANOVER, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology improved to 4-1 on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference women's tennis season with an 8-1 victory over
Hanover College on Saturday.
Sophomore Sam Danesis (Akron, Ohio),
freshman Megan Chann (Columbia, Mo.), junior Katy
Zawadski (Yorktown) and junior Betsy Marschand
(Galveston) paced Rose-Hulman's effort with victories in
singles and doubles play.
Other winners for the Engineers included the No.
3 doubles team junior Kristin Wilson (Lake Zurich, Ill.)
and Maritza Gonzalez (Vancouver, Wash.) by an 8-2
decision, and freshman Caitlin Kohli (Lima, Ohio) at the
No. 6 singles slot by a 6-0, 6-0 margin.
Rose-Hulman stands 4-2 on the season and travels
to Franklin at 1 p.m. tomorrow in another league match.
