Rose-Hulman Tennis Falls at Taylor; Engineers Head to Franklin on Sunday

Katy Zawadski earned a win at the No. 4 singles spot.

UPLAND, IND. -- Taylor University topped the Rose-Hulman women's tennis team 7-2 in non-conference action on Thursday night.

Freshman Sam Danesis (Akron, Ohio/Revere) led the Engineers with a 6-4, 6-0 win at the No. 1 singles position, while sophomore Katy Zawadski (Yorktown) won by a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) margin at No. 4.

Rose-Hulman dropped to 8-4 on the season and squares off against Franklin College on Sunday at 5 p.m. The Engineers can clinch the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament with a win at Franklin.
