Danesis Finishes 1-1,
Zawadski 0-1 at ITA Central Regional
SPRINGFIELD, OHIO. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology freshman Sam Danesis (Akron, Ohio/Revere) finished 1-1, while sophomore Katy Zawadski (Yorktown) recorded an 0-1 singles mark at the ITA Central Tennis Regional on Friday and Saturday. Zawadski fell to Amy Hsieh of Washington University by a 6-3, 6-2 score, and Danesis dropped a third-round decision by 6-4, 6-3 to Sallie Crawford of DePauw. Danesis won a second-round match over Addie Hill of Chicago by a 6-0, 6-1 margin and currently stands 11-2 in singles play this season. In doubles action, Rachel Hawkins and Jen Silver topped Danesis and Zawadski by an 8-2 margin on Friday afternoon. |
