OAKLAND CITY, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman women's team captured their second win of the season by a 9-0 margin at Oakland City University on Sunday.

Freshman Sam Danesis (Akron, Ohio) and Julie Hopkins (Terre Haute/Northview/ Saddlebrook Acad.) remain undefeated at the number one and two singles positions and number one doubles.

Danesis wasted little time winning 6-0, 6-0 over Oakland City's Tammy Miller. Hopkins won a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Ellisa Hefley. The two teamed to win the number one doubles over Miller-Hefley 8-0.

Mandy Grantz (Rapid City, S.D./Stevens) won third singles 6-3, 6-0 over Clara Stunkel. Katy Zawadski (Yorktown) won 6-1, 6-1 over Rachel Mathew. Betsy Marschand won 6-1, 6-0 over Jill Schmitt, and Mandie Gerhing (Lyons/White River Valley) won her first ever singles match at six singles over Krystal Keith 6-1, 6-0.

Kristin Wilson (Lake Zurich, Ill.) and Maritza Gonzalez (Vancouver, Wash./ Mountain View) won their first doubles match of the season at number two doubles over Stunkel- Schmitt. Victoria Lee (Indianapolis/Indiana Academy) and Crystal Trivedi (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) did the same over Mathew and Keith at the third doubles position.

The Engineers are 2-1 on the season and will play conference foes Defiance and Bluffton next Saturday at Bluffton, Ohio.
