Earns Historic Great
Lakes Region Ranking
Danesis is ranked 26th in the Great Lakes Region by the ITA after a historic season that featured a 16-2 singles record and a 15-2 doubles mark. Her efforts included perfect 11-0 records in singles and doubles play against HCAC opposition. Danesis currently ranks No. 2 on Rose-Hulman's single-season list for singles wins with 16, with several spring season matches remaining. Her combined 31 wins this season snapped the school record of 26 set by Alison Bailey, who finished 18-7 in singles play in 1999-00. Danesis was also named HCAC Player of the Year in voting by league coaches following the 2006 league tournament. Rose-Hulman finished second in the HCAC this season, in both the league tournament and regular season play. The Engineers compiled a school record 11-5 fall season mark. |
