DALLAS, TEXAS -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology established a single-season school record with 14
victories and extended its winning streak to 11 with a 6-1
women's soccer victory at the University of Dallas on Saturday.
Freshman Molly Richardson (Port Orange,
Fla./St. John's Country Day) led the Rose-Hulman offense
with her first career hat trick. Richardson scored in the
fifth, seventh and 14th minutes to give the Engineers a 3-0
lead.
Senior Jennifer Gordon (Zionsville) added
three assists to support the offensive effort. Gordon
snapped her own single-season school record with her 16th assist
of 2007 and has totaled 39 assists in her Fightin' Engineer
career.
Freshman Caroline Bundrick (Harrisonburg,
Va./Ashby) made the score 4-0 in the 15th minute with her
fifth goal of the season.
Senior Sarah Graber (Cypress, Texas/Cy-Fair)
added the fifth and final goal of the first half in the 19th
minute. Graber stands third on the Engineer career list
with 38 goals.
Junior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe, Mich./
Northwestern U.) rounded the scoring with a goal in the
second minute of the second half, courtesy of a Gordon pass.
The Engineers outshot Dallas 26-3 in the contest
and improved to 14-2 on the season. Rose-Hulman returns
home for a matchup with Bluffton University next Saturday at Jim
Rendel Field.
