  Rose-Hulman News Overtime Goal Leads Rose-Hulman Past Mt. St. Joseph

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology freshman Molly Richardson (Orange Park, Fla./St. John's) scored an overtime game winner to lead the Engineer women's soccer team past Mt. St. Joseph 1-0 on Sunday.

Richardson dribbled to the top of the box and shot over a pair of defenders and the Lions goalkeeper to break the scoreless tie and lead Rose-Hulman to its second HCAC win of the season.

Rose-Hulman outshot Mt. St. Joseph 14-11 in the tightly contested matchup that ended at the 2:57 mark of overtime.

The two teams battled to a scoreless tie during the 90 minutes of regulation time. 

Rose-Hulman outshot the Lions 12-11 in regulation.  Kelly Bare recorded six saves for the Lions in regulation time, while senior Rachel Miller (Spring, Texas/Klein Collins) had five saves to earn the victory.

Rose-Hulman improved to 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in league play with its first ever women's soccer victory over Mt. St. Joseph.  The Lions, who finished second in the HCAC last season, dropped to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in league play.
