WHEATON, ILL. –
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology junior heavyweight Jesse
Evans (Rose City, Mich./Ogemaw Heights)
advanced to the quarterfinals with a pair of
victories to lead the team effort at the Wheaton Invitational.
Evans defeated Tim Lambert of John Carroll 5-2
and Joe Dhein of Wisconsin-Parkside 4-2. Against Jose
Navarro of Indianapolis, Evans suffered an injury and was forced
to default from the rest of the invitational.
Other winners for the Engineers included
sophomore Jacob Wise (Indianapolis/Warren Central) with a
1-2 record, and freshman Chad Coxon (Ortonville, Mich./Powers
Catholic) with a 1-2 mark and one pin.
The Engineers travel to the Wheaton College Invitational next
weekend.
