Tyler Goble joined teammate Ryan Schalk with a 3-1 record at the Olivet Invitational.

OLIVET, MICH. – Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology sophomores Tyler Goble (Bloomington/South) and Ryan Schalk (Centreville, Va.) tallied 3-1 records in the Olivet College Invitational to lead the team effort on Saturday.

Goble finished 3-1 overall at 165 pounds to open the campaign. He set a school record with 30 victories last winter and tallied one pin on the afternoon.

Schalk, who won 29 matches in 2005-06, also compiled a 3-1 record at Olivet.

Freshman Chad Coxon (Ortonville, Mich./Powers Catholic) added a winning record in a return to his home state. Coxon opened his college career with a 2-1 record at 184 pounds.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Little State Championships at Manchester on Dec. 1-2.
