TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed four players in double figures and relied on a strong rebounding effort to top Transylvania University 59-45 in women's basketball on Saturday.

Other key contributors to Rose-Hulman's effort included freshman Donna Marsh (Mobile, Ala./Baker) with nine points, five rebounds and three blocks; and senior Brittany Moline (Indianapolis/Perry Meridian) with four points, five rebounds and four assists.

Transylvania jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the contest, before Rose-Hulman relied on a 14-2 spurt to gain a five-point advantage.  The Engineers pushed the lead to eight points at 27-19 at halftime.

In the second half, Rose-Hulman pushed the lead as high as 20 points at 41-21 with 13:34 remaining.  Transylvania whittled the deficit to 11 on one occasion, but could not trim the margin into single digits down the stretch.
