CHICAGO, ILL. --
Illinois Tech relied on a strong defensive effort to top Rose-Hulman
Institute of Technology 45-31 in women's basketball action on
Tuesday night in Chicago.
Freshman Donna Marsh
(Mobile, Ala./Baker) led the Engineers with 12 points, seven
rebounds and three blocks. Junior Liz Ridgway (Grosse Pointe, Mich./
Northwestern U.) had a game-high 11 rebounds, while senior
Brittany Moline (Indianapolis/Perry Meridian) added four steals.
Other key contributors for the
Engineers included sophomore Shayna Banet (Canton, Ga./Woodstock)
with six points; senior Candace Procter (Southfield,
Mich./Groves) with five points.
Rose-Hulman dropped to 1-2
on the season, while Illinois Tech improved to 5-3. The
Engineers host Hanover College on Dec. 1 at Hulbert Arena.
