Engineers Capture Game Three but Fall at Manchester
TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology captured game three against Manchester College before falling 32-30, 30-14, 23-30, 30-16 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday. Sophomore Sarah Messmer (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) led the Engineers with 10 kills, while junior Katie Tharp (Linton) added eight. Sophomore Brandi Sturgill (Zionville, N.C./Watauga) had a team-high 28 assists, and Messmer recorded 21 digs. Sophomore Mandy Kronmiller (Fort Wayne/Carroll) contributed 15 digs. Rose-Hulman dropped to 0-2 in league play and hosts Mount St. Joseph at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Hulbert Arena in another conference match. Return to the Engineers' volleyball page
