Thomas Reives captured the high jump title with a leap of 6' 2" at Ohio Wesleyan.

MEET RESULTS

DELAWARE, OHIO -- The Rose-Hulman men's track and field squad relied on seven top-five finishes to earn a fifth place overall effort at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Thomas Reives (Indianapolis/Perry Meridian) and senior Matt Repking (Teutopolis, Ill.) paced the Engineers with victories in their respective events.

Reives won the high jump with a leap of 6' 2" to establish his season-high effort.  Repking captured the 3,000-steeplechase victory in a time of 9:37.79.

The Engineers combined for four third-place finishes.  Freshman David Caldwell (Plymouth) placed third in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 10:04.48.  Sophomore Michael Burris (Terre Haute/North) added a third in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 15.24 seconds.

In addition, a pair of Engineer relay teams came home in third place.  Freshman Jerry Belton (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway West), Reives, sophomore Calvin Bueltel (Huntingburg/Southridge) and freshman Robby Alumbaugh (Mooresville) ran the 4-x-100-meter relay in a time of 43.68. 

The team of sophomore Will Reilly (Indianapolis/N. Central), freshman Paul Bouagnon (St. Charles, Ill./Burlington Central), senior Bill Guiney (Centerville, Ohio) and Bueltel ran a 4-x-400-meter relay time of 3:23.65.  Reives rounded out the men's top five efforts with a triple jump leap of 40' 2".

On the women's side, senior Rachel Krasich (Westfield) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase title with a time of 11:53.06. 

Sophomore Jessica Haraburda (Clinton/South Vermillion) added a fourth place in the hammer throw with a toss of 114' 11".  Sophomore Rebecca Fehribach (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Darby) also scored points in the discus throw with an eighth-place toss of 112' 3".

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the annual Little State Championships next Friday and Saturday.
