Rose-Hulman News Men's and Women's Swimming Teams Recognized for
Academic Achievement by CSCAA

Rose-Hulman recorded grade point averages of 3.33 (women) and 3.29 (men) in swimming this season.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned recognition for their academic accomplishments from the Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of America, in results released by the organization today.

The men's swimming and diving team ranked 21st in the nation with a cumulative grade point of 3.29 this season.  Rose-Hulman's women finished 49th nationally with a 3.33 team grade point average.

The CSCAA recognizes colleges as Scholar All-American Teams if their cumulative grade point average remains above 3.00.  Rose-Hulman was the only NCAA Division III institution in Indiana to receive both men's and women's awards.

The Fightin' Engineers finished third on the men's side and fourth in women's action at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships in February.  The 2009-10 season begins with the Rose-Hulman Relays at the Sports and Recreation Center on Oct. 24.
