Janie McNichols
* Assistant Track and Field Coach
Janie McNichols enters her second season as an assistant coach for the jumping events at Rose-Hulman.
McNichols served as the assistant girls
cross country and track coach at Terre Haute North Vigo from 2000-2003, then as
head girls cross country and track coach at Terre Haute South Vigo from
2003-2005.
Under McNichols' coaching both the
Terre Haute South Vigo girls cross country teams and track teams had their winningest seasons, highlighted by the first girls track regional championship
title. Throughout her years of coaching track and field, McNichols has coached
the jumps, intermediate hurdles, middle distance, and distance.
McNichols joined Rose-Hulman in
February 2008 as assistant director for the Homework Hotline. After earning her
bachelor's degree in mathematics teaching from Indiana State University, she
taught algebra, geometry, and discrete math at Terre Haute South. Most recently,
she served as an educational content editor for Thinkronize, Inc.
